Description

DARWIN MINI is a 16 jointed humanoid that can be controlled by any Android powered phone or tablet which has Android 2.3.3 or higher, and a minimum 1.2GHz Dual Core and 1 GB RAM. It uses the open source OpenCM9.04C embedded board to control the Dynamixel XL-320 motors. Li-ion battery is used to power the humanoid.

The Android app can control the humanoid via bluetooth, using Touch, Gesture, Voice Recognition, or Messenger. The buttons in the app allow movements such as sit, stand, waIk forward or backward, and several boxing maneuvers. It also allows the user to get feedback such as battery power percentage, offset setting, and more. Apart from the app, the humanoid maneuvers can also be programmed through RoboPlus Motion and Task.

The body of the humanoid can be extended by using OLLO [DREAM] frames. Various Sensors such as- Ultrasonic, IR, Color, Magnetic, Distance Measurement – can be added to improve functionality while creating new applications.
